March 1 fun-raising event: square dance and more

Community Swap and Square DanceSaturday, March 1st, Mustard Seed, along with a few other Ames groups will be putting on a fun event at 130 South Sheldon. The schedule is:5 to 6 PM: Seed swap and giveaway. We've got a bunch of donated vegetable seeds, and know some people will be bringing their saved seed and plant materials. Come learn about saving seed and get seed to start a garden!
6 to 7 PM: Craft sale and swap: we'll have some crafts for sale made by some of our farm team (pottery, knitting, and more) and will also be organizing a swap. Bring clothes or household goods you don't use anymore, and find new things to bring home!
7 to 9 PM: Square dance: The Porchstompers will be playing a square dance, at which our caller, Lonna Nachtigal, will teach everyone how to dance, if you don't already know. Fun for everyone!
Come for part or all of this great event. The whole thing is free, but we'll be collecting a freewill donation to support Mustard Seed in the next year of supplying food to Ames community meals and food pantries.

CSA SharesDo you want to get a box of vegetables every week from late May to early October? Do you want to pay for it by working 3 hours a week or giving us $400? We still have open CSA shares with both of these options, email me at nleete@gmail.com if you're interested, and I can send you more info.
Farm UpdateIt's still cold, we are hoping our bees and perennial plants are still alive, but we'll see soon! Other than that, we're completing seed orders, planning our projects for the summer, and getting ready for our season. Let us know if you want to be involved, as we're looking for long-term farm team members
