here's a very fun and informative CSA sheet made by new community member Katherine Weatherall.
we hope to be able to give you at least 1 kind of berry in your box every week for the next few weeks.
possible berries you might be getting this week:
strawberry, honeyberry, juneberry, raspberry, gooseberry
and hopefully soon, also currants, blueberries, and black raspberries.
here's some more info about honeyberries and juneberries on our website:

WEATHER REPORT:
5/27/2020 Yes, we now have prairie plants and garden plants available for on-line order and for sale at the Ames Downtown Farmers Market the first 3 weeks of June.
We are currently planning on being at the Ames Downtown Farmers' market (May 22, June 5, 12, and 19), and doing an online order form for on-farm pick-up (Sundays 10am-5pm).
First CSA Delivery starts this week!
hello wonderful members!
thanks for your patience at this amazingly full and busy time of year! After last weeks rain, the crops and the weeds are growing like crazy. we are trying to keep on top of planting and weeding and training our new workers and it's hard to find computer time.
important things to note for this first box:
We are getting ready tonight for the ames downtown farmers market tomorrow morning.
We will have our Good Food Everyday Resilience Beginning Garden Kits and the first of the prairie plants. We haven't been at the farmers market in almost 2 years, so we are excited and also had a hard time finding all our stuff. We will certainly be missing something important.
As you may know, over the past few years we have been fixing up or replacing the old farm buildings here. It has been a big effort - requiring so much time and money and skills and work, and we are so very grateful for all of you that have helped us along the way.
we have been hosting a monthly ASK A FARMER zoom session geared towards helping people start gardening. here are a few illustrations from alice the farmer and tidbits shared from our other hosts (tidbits to be added soon).
