Hello everyone!
Thank you to all who came out this past Saturday to help with the garlic harvest! With all of your help and energy, we finished the whole job in one Saturday! Great work!
This is a blog to inform you about our upcoming Potluck and Discussion, this Thursday evening, July 12th, 6pm to 8pm, at 307 8th Street, right in downtown Ames. Our topic will be "Food and Class", led by two of your favorite interns, Rachel Eber and Alice Foster! I hope to see you there!
This is also a blog to introduce You to Me, Allyson, another intern (if you haven't met me yet)!
hello friends!
Thanks everyone for coming to our party last saturday, in the midst of heat and thunderstorms, and making our 10 year celebration such a great success! It was wonderful to be in the company of such a wonderful community of people who have helped make this farm possible over the years.
after a very dry spring, we are now having a very wet summer. It's surprising how quickly things can change. A few crops are drowning, but otherwise, the soil is draining and the plants are growing. We definitely have not had to water in weeks.

hello friends,
we finally got some rain on the farm! Last night we had a big storm that left behind .95" of rain on all of our thirsty vegetables. I'm hoping this will be the end of the crazy force-field that stops all weather systems from raining over our farm.
This is Shadowbeast, our excellent farm cat and mythical creature and fuzzy farming companion all in one:
Dear Universe,

They have already proven to be beautiful additions to our farm community! Come out to one of our harvest days or workdays to get to know them! Here are their fun answers to my questions:
