here are some extra notes about the veggies and the farm this week.
in your box:FOR SURE: spinach, lettuce, radish,
MAYBE: kohlrabi, kale, boc choy, dill, snap peas (edible pod), chives, and garlic scapes. honeyberries???
We have started a lot of seeds! Here is an inventory of what we have available for sale.
First market this Saturday!!! We will have plants for sale at the Ames Farmers Market this Saturday from 8-12! Come get your veggie starts, prairie seedlings, and maybe a fun craft item or two! You can also get a copy of our summer events schedule, learn about volunteer opportunities, and more.

We have a whole assortment of summer events planned, and they will be starting as early as next week. Here is a photo of our current events schedule, which we will keep adding to throughout the summer. Our

The plants are popping, the frogs are peeping, the birds are singing, and there's just SO MUCH work to do!! Work is in full swing here on the farm; we started direct seeding on Easter weekend with potatoes, spinach, beets, peas, and lettuce. The greenhouse is filling up with seedlings, and some will soon be transplanted into the fields. Spring work is so exciting, and we hope you'll join us for some!

Drop in to learn about the Ames Seed Library, browse the selection available, and take home seeds. If you have seeds at home that you're not using, please bring them along to donate to the Ames Seed Library!
