Happy cold wild windy SPRING!
Here on the farm, it's been a slow creep into spring, with lots of windy, damp, grey days. The soil is very slowly warming up. This slow transition is probably good for our perennials, but the farmers and our little seedlings could sure use some sun!
this year we are trying a new experiment -
the VEGETABLE TEAM - There's still time to sign up for a CROP!!

After much had work, and long waiting for our siding crew to be available, the siding is finally done on the corn crib. Now we just need to re-hang the doors and it will be all good to go.

Thank you to all the folks who donated leaves to us this fall!
We now have enough leaves for next years mulching and we are not scheduling any more pick-ups.
The Food at First Garden is still interested in leaves.

Ames has begun the process of developing a climate action plan and the team here at Mustard Seed Community Farm made an unanimous decision to support the Ames Climate Action Team's (ACAT) proposal for a bold goal of city-wide carbon neutrality by 2030.
