building project help request

hello friends,

we finally got some rain on the farm! Last night we had a big storm that left behind .95" of rain on all of our thirsty vegetables. I'm hoping this will be the end of the crazy force-field that stops all weather systems from raining over our farm.

We are looking for enthusiastic helpers with a building project. We deconstructed an old farm shed and have been attempting to replace it with nicer farm building for 3 years now. Our hope is that this new building would be an insulated workshop that could be used all year, extra storage, a little farm store, and an indoor hospitality space for events in case of weather. We are not carpenters and we are spending all our creative and physical energy caring for plants and growing great food, and the progress we make on this building project is at a snail's pace. We have some money budgeted for this project, but as of yet, we don't have enough to complete it, and that makes it hard to even start. We are looking for a few people who might want to join our building committee for a meeting in the next few weeks to help us come up with an action plan. in particular, we are looking for:
a GENERAL CONTRACTOR - who is excited about working with volunteers, and recycled materials.
a CHAMPION or two- who is excited about the mission of the farm, this building, and about making this project happen. This person would have time and energy to make connections. for instance - finding us a general contractor, talking to local building supply or construction businesses about volunteering time or materials. They might connect us with volunteer groups or organizations that would be interested in donating financially to this project.
SKILLED OR SEMI-SKILLED CARPENTERS - folks who would be interested in assisting under the guidance of our general contractor.
and UNSKILLED ENTHUSIASTIC HELPERS
if you are interested in any of these things - please email back, or text alice at 978-471-8414
