SWEET POTATO PARTY and house-warming

our house isn't done yet, but this is what it looks like now.
Sunday, september 26th, we're having a party.

Yes, there are other things happening that day, like the barnowl band concert, and maybe an art-fair in ames, but nonetheless, we hope you will also come see us.
1;30-3;30pm: digging
if you want to experience sweet potatoes in their entirety, you can help us finish our harvest. please bring a shovel or digging fork, and clothes that like to get dirty.
4pm : House blessing
4:30pm: pot-luck.

Come to any part, or all. Come even if you have no food to share - we plan on making some sweet potato pies and sweet potato fries and we'll let you eat as much as you want.

This will be our last pot-luck of the year, pretty much our last event, unless you want to come work.
if you do, we could definitely use your help, especially these days: Sunday oct 3, and i think all the rest of the weekends in october, in the afternoon. Also, Tuesdays and Fridays are good days to help on the farm also. 515-460-1467 We probably will be planting garlic Oct 23 and we could use a big crew that day. Please call first, because i'm not totally sure of those dates. 515-460-1467

if you want to bring a house-warming gift, we're looking for well-seasoned firewood for heating and cooking this winter. we've been cutting a lot of firewood, but it's all from this summer and still a little green.
