hello friends,
You are invited to join us for 3 hours of fun labor, this sunday, to celebrate labor day weekend! Sunday, sept 2, 1-4pm.
We are celebrating labor for the common good, not for money, gain, competition, status, or out of fear. Lets celebrate an economy of generosity, care for the planet and others, dignity for workers, and joy in the beauty of the outdoors.
The biggest task we are doing right now is cleaning and trimming garlic and onions. This job is easy for all ages, can be done in the shade (if hot) or in the barn (if raining), and is very conducive to conversation. Bring your friends or family for quality time together. If it's not raining, we will have a larger array of tasks, like mulching, weeding, turning compost piles, or planting. Besides helping to grow food for those in need, you will be able to take some fresh veggies home with you.
