There have been a few conflicting drafts of our schedule out there - this email is to confirm that tomorrow, Saturday May 18
YES, we will be at the ames downtown farmers market
NO, we will not be hosting a workday on the farm (saturday or Sunday)
Here's a picture of some prairie plants we will have to sell soon - blue false indigo, rattlesnake master, and more.
There's a high chance of rain this weekend, and we've already gotten more than an inch. The farm is super soggy. The roads are super muddy. It's better to wait a few days for the soil to dry out.
We are hoping for a lull in the rain for the farmers market - we plan to be there unless there are dangerous storms, or our truck gets stuck in the mud. This week we will have a small selection of prairie plants, garden plants, and crafts. Please stop by and visit us even if you don't want to buy anything - its just fun to see you! Next week we expect to have a larger selection of everything.
If you want to come out to the farm to help out this next week, consider joining us sometime tuesday, wednesday, friday, or for our planting workday Sunday 1-4pm. You can meet the new lambs that arrived this past week, or the new interns that are arriving this coming weekend. Please call or text beforehand so we can plan for you. (978-471-8414).
