flashback picture of the porch stompers in 2008, the first year of the farm. Same band will be playing Thursday, with perhaps some other guest musicians.
(i'm working on finding a picture for this post, and fixing all the links, but for now, here's the basic info)
IN THIS POST:
1. SQUARE DANCE 9/15
2. LOOKING FOR VEGGIE HARVESTERS! and RASPBERRY PICKERS.
3. CRAFT RETREAT??
4. OTHER EVENTS.
It's already September! The season has been flying by, but the abundance continues. Despite planting somewhat smaller garden plots this season, we have had some really great harvests. We expect to have food and fun to share out here on the farm through September and into October. In this email, we are sharing some upcoming events, and looking for more folks to help out on the farm
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:
This time of year, as school starts back up, very many people have schedule changes, and we have a hard time coordinating and finding enough help, especially for our Tuesday and Friday morning harvests (7-10am)..(or Sunday raspberry pickers) If you, or anyone you know, might be interested in joining our workshare harvest teams (and getting a big box of veggies and fruit to take home), please share this info with them. (Tomorrow morning we will also have fresh grapes and pears to share! ) There are some helpful links below with more info. sign-up is nice to help us figure out the scheduling puzzle, but you can also text 978-471-8414, or just show up. (please do let us know beforehand if you want to come with a big group or with kids) Bring a friend with you to harvest, or spread the word about our workshare to someone you know whose schedule might have opened up now that school has started.
the workshare time is fun. social. delicious. beautiful.

SUNDAY RASPBERRY PICKERS - please contact the farm to schedule a time to come out and help pick raspberries.
EVENTS ON THE FARM:
SQUARE DANCE - Thursday sept 15, 5:30-8pm. Live music from Nate and Alice, Rick and Merle, and potentially others , with dance caller Lonna Nachtigal (and potentially others). No experience necessary - everything will be taught.
Because it's a Thursday evening, and a potentially tight schedule between work and bedtime, we will make a big pot of soup or beans to share with everyone, and you can bring a little food to share (if you want) but you can just come ready to dance and eat soup as it pleases you.
CRAFT RETREAT:
maybe Oct 22/23? Maybe a one day fiber day during the week in september? Let us know if you are interested in this. More details coming soon.
to contact the farm, please reply to this email, or text (or call) Alice at 978-471-8414.
other related upcoming EVENTS:
