We will be dyeing with plants on natural fibers -
INCLUDING:
1. - DYE BATHS OF YELLOW, ORANGE, BROWN, AND POSSIBLY OTHER COLORS (using weld, coreopsis, walnut, marigold,
2. - DYEING WITH FRESH INDIGO
3. - ECOPRINTING - printing directly on fabric with plants and flowers
LUNCH AT 12:30 - please bring some food to share
There will be some flexibility in the schedule - and you don't necessarily need to be here the whole time, but each of these processes takes some time, so please let us know if you are only able to be here for part.

please bring fibers to dye:
animal fibers such as wool, silk,
plant fibers - cotton, linen, hemp,
(if you don't have any of these things, we will have some available to buy.)

these fibers need to be VERY CLEAN before we dye them - please wash them before you come. (I can give you more info about this)
and they might need to be treated with a mordant and maybe tanin before dyeing (which is why this process takes time). If you know how to do this, feel free to do it beforehand.
