veggies: 6/18-21

hi friends!
Here's some news about the veggie boxes this week.
newsletter made by fabulous intern, Frances, to help you identify what's in your box and some tips for use.
Extra info:Please return our waxed boxes and berry containers!  we will use them again and again.
Please stay in touch with us!   If you are a CSA member and can't pick up your box on your day, please let us know in advance so that it's not confusing to the Wheatsfield staff, or doesn't go to waste.  If you missed your pick-up time, your box might have been moved to the walk-in cooler with the pre-orders, so ask a wheatsfield staff for help.
if you are a COMMUNITY PARTNER, please let us know if you need more or less veggies.  WE will increase our distribution as we have a wider selection of crops, but let us know if you want more leafy greens, herbs, and early crops.
if you are a WORKSHARE -  Please let us know of your schedule changes - either by the attendance form or email or text.  Reach out to each other or us for help coordinating carpooling.  And if you are confused - just show up at 7am on a tuesday or a friday!!  (Please  email outreach.mustardseed@gmail.com if you haven't received the June attendance form via email.)
BASIL - you will get a small amount of basil this week - it might be standard sweet basil, or thai, cinnamon, or lemon.  you might also get some DILL.Don't forget about our guide to extraordinary vegetables on our website - it has info about most of the items in your box this week.Recipes and Extraordinary Vegetables | Mustard Seed Community Farm (mustardseedfarm.org)

if you get TURNIPS this week (or next) - they will be tender, sweet salad turnips (called hakurei) that you can eat both raw or cooked.
