Dear Mustard Seed Farm friends, 
Many of our friends and community members are headed back to school this week, but the vegetables are still here, ready and waiting, for anyone who is free from 7-10 AM on Tuesday and Friday mornings. If you are back in town or have a more open schedule during this seasonal shift, we'd love to see you out at a harvest or at an event. Now is an exciting time to get involved!
here is a SIGN UP FORM to fill out if you would like to volunteer, but also, don't wait for a confirmation for Tuesday/friday mornings..  We will be harvesting every TUESDAY AND FRIDAY MORNING 7-10AM UNTIL sometime in OCTOBER.

MONDAY AND THURSDAY EVENINGS??

To accommodate the many schedule changes and our super abundant harvests, we are opening up a window for a small group of consistent volunteers on monday and thursday evenings, to help us pre-harvest some crops.  If you are interesting in working during this shift (5-7pm-ish), please contact Alice directly, AND PLEASE WAIT FOR A CONFIRMATION BEFORE SHOWING UP.  (alice - text 978-471-8414 or email mustardseedbee@gmail.com)

Here's a rundown of what we are up to this month! 
We just had an awesome ART WEEK!!  We are so grateful to our 2 visiting artists in residence, Becky McIntyre and Sarah Fuller, and to Ag-Arts and the Franciscan Sisters of Dubuque for their support of our agro-ecology and art education programming!!  We made a lot of beautiful stuff - come see it at the market tomorrow!

Sugar Creek Midwest Catholic Worker Retreat: September 13-15 in eastern Iowa.  Let us know if you want to go on a fun road trip with us!

Yoga on the Farm??: We don't currently have a date scheduled for Farm Yoga in September. Natural Building Update: We are planning to have our friend Jim come back and help us finish the repairs to the outdoor kitchen. Exact dates are TBD, but send us an email if you'd like to be kept in the loop!

Help us with volunteer outreach!

Seeking New Farm Team Members
Would you like to step into a leadership role on the farm? Are you interested in helping with decision-making and shaping the vision of Mustard Seed? Would you enjoy helping to plan and host events, do outreach, work on special projects, or help with logistics like CSA planning or volunteer coordination? Do you have a few free hours a month? If so, you might enjoy trying out the farm team. The farm team is a group of about 8-12 volunteers who work together to do all the things listed above. We meet once a month on a Sunday afternoon from 1:30-3:00 PM and we form smaller teams of 2-4 people who work on projects like Events, Intern Hospitality, and Outreach.
