POSTPONED: Equinox Celebration

Dear Mustard Seed community,

It seems the weather for tomorrow night's equinox celebration is 80% chance of severe thunderstorms, which sounds unpleasant and unsafe enough for us to shift the event to another day. So, tomorrow's event is RESCHEDULED for:

Wednesday, September 27th from 6:30pm-8:30pm @ the Farm.

Same details as before -- pasted below for ease - except there will be NO camping option.

While we are sad not to gather on the actual equinox day, we feel so much gratitude for these forthcoming rains - may they be abundant for our soils and rivers and plants and all life needing the water!! And we hope to see you on Wednesday to celebrate in (*crossing fingers*) sunnier, safer, more comfortable weather :)

Sending many wishes that you all have a restful, cozy and nourishing equinox weekend,
Evie, Solveig and Amie

Fall Equinox Celebration at the Farm!
Wednesday, September 27 at 6:30pm

Come join us for a celebration of the season's transition into fall as we honor and give thanks to the land and our farmers for the abundance of the growing season.

We will begin at 6:30pm with a "snack potluck" in which we invite you to bring a dish inspired by your love of Mustard Seed farm or by the transition towards fall (maybe it is even made with some food from the farm!). We will invite everyone to share the story behind their snack and offer a small amount to those participating. Since this might be more of a "snack" sharing than a meal, we invite you to eat a heartier meal beforehand if you need it. Bring your own plate, utensils, and cup!

After our snack share, we will walk around the farm, offering songs and gifts to the land in thanks for all the hard work the soil, bugs, water, nutrients, fungi, and all other seen and unseen beings are doing all the time to keep this world alive and living. If you'd like to bring an offering to share for this part - please do! An offering looks like something made by you that is beautiful and can decompose easily in the Earth such as a letter or poem, a song, a carved wooden spoon, something made out of hand-dyed yarn, a candle, a clay mug, a flower crown, some food or tea, etc.

Once our thanks are given, we will gather around a fire and enjoy the first cool nights and the barred owl song and the coyote yips. We might even bring a storybook to read aloud.

All are welcome. Bring friends, family, partners. If you can RSVP for the evening, that would be very helpful!
