earth day planting

We can finally start planting!
all these little plants are ready to go in the ground! And we are ready to have a little more room in the house!
(i was trying to put a picture here, but it's not working right now)
The soil is still pretty cool, but the forecast says it will stay above freezing for the next 10 days, so we are going to be planting tomorrow, saturday april 21, from 9-4.
You are invited to join us!
we will have 2 shifts - 9am-noon, a lunch break from noon-1, and afternoon, from 1-4pm.
if you will be here over lunch, please bring your own food, or something to share.
If you can't stay for a whole shift, it is most helpful if you arrive at the beginning, (9am, or 1pm) so that everyone can get instructions at the same time.
The weather will be between 45 and 60, but perhaps cloudy, so dress in layers.

i have heard that there are quite a few people signed up for the morning, maybe 20, with less for the afternoon, so we might need you more in the afternoon.

we hope to get all the potatoes planted, some onions, cabbages, broccoli, lettuce, peas, and perhaps more. We will also be doing some other tasks, like harvesting jerusalem artichokes (and perhaps cooking some for lunch), turning composts, preparing beds for next weeks planting, and more.

thanks so much and we look forward to seeing you!
