New Intern: Katrina Courtney!

Introducing 2018 spring/fall intern, Katrina Courtney! Get to know her by reading her fun answers to my questions below; meet her in person and work with her by coming out to the farm sometime! She started interning this spring, will be gone for the summer, and will be back with us mid-August. She is a lovely individual, and I am so glad I know her!

1. What vegetable are you and why?
K: Sweet potatoes, because I too, am sweet :)
2. Favorite color?
K: Blue.
3. What brings you joy?
K: Baby animals and beautiful landscapes.
4. What breaks your heart?
K: Senseless violence and detrimental legislation.
5. Why are you interested in the world of small farming/growing food?
K: Within the realm of small-scale food production, I’m greatly interested in the implementation of sustainable farming practices, as well as the opportunity of making healthy, fresh produce more readily accessible to underserved communities.
6. What's something you like to do in your spare time?
K: I love road tripping, hiking, and reading.
7. What are you excited about growing in the ground this year?
K: Blueberries and honeyberries.
